The economy isn't about really helping anyone.
If the minimun wage were to be raised to $10, then everyone would have some extra bucks in their pockets for a well-earned work day. However, since that is the MINIMUM wage, companies will start charging double for their stupid products; milk would be about $7, and then the raise would be useless because these people would not be able to afford the things that they can't afford already. Politicians have the power to prevent such things from happening, and they just will not. It's like the government wants us to host our first annual Hunger Games over something so
minuscule as a can of tuna, or gallon of milk, when the whole idea of raising the minimum wage is to give extra bucks to those who deserve it, not starve them more than they are already being. I guess people just won't see their struggles because they earn too much. Well, put politicians on minimum wage and see how fast things will change.
